Bonnie & Joel's Excellent Adventures

London

Our flight from Dallas to London actually took off and landed early….yea!  Nobody got forced off of the flight and we didn’t see the crew punch anyone so the entertainment was limited to downloaded episodes of season 3 of Bosch.  Landed at Heathrow and started walking with the human stampede towards Passport Control.  Alas no Fast Track pass so we queued up with the rest of the commoners and waded through a line maze that Disney would kill for.  An hour later and we were through the Control and headed towards a taxi to London.  Good thing that we didn’t also have to wait for checked luggage.  That’s right 19 days on holiday with one carry on bag each and for those in the know, I won the lightest bag contest at 21.5 pounds to Bonnie’s 27 pounds.  So you will see a lot of the same outfits in photos of Joel throughout Italy.  Took us an hour and 22 minutes from Heathrow to our hotel on Piccadilly. Traffic!  But we had a nice cabbie and he kept us entertained throughout the ride into old London Town.

We took so long to get into town that the hotel actually had our room ready for us and had upgraded us to a Junior Suite, not bad for points!  Nap time since one of us hadn’t slept for about 24 hours, then over to the Queen’s place Buckingham Palace.
